You should start writing tutorials in the subjects of your expertise. Whenever you write a tutorial it is always best to perform a search on the topic you are about to write in order to find if it has already been written. Sometimes, there may be a very good chance that the tutorial you plan to write might already be here. Do not worry if the tutorial search result gives you a bunch of pages showing that your planned tutorial has already been covered/written by somebody else. View & Use them as a baseline to inspire you to write a better tutorial in an innovative way.

There are few rules you need to follow:

  • Use valid characters for tutorial names and its page titles.
  • Do not use a name that is similar to a namespace name.
  • Try to limit your page titles to less than 255 characters.
  • Protect your tutorials if you do not want anyone else to edit it.
  • Do not use '# < > [ ] | { }' these characters for your tutorial title.

What tutorial should you write?

Well, it depends on what you know best. This example should make it straight forward.

  • Let us say, you want to write tutorials on HTML. You may introduce its concepts in a nutshell, there by limiting it to a one page tutorial. A better alternative would be to share your knowledge on every HTML tags there by producing one tutorial for each HTML tags, grouping them under HTML category.

Irrespective of your style, please ensure that it is really useful to others in their learning process by providing as much information as possible including an explanation, syntax, anology, usage example, prerequisites & configuration requirements etc.

Using your Google Adsense code

A tutorial page is always owned by its Author. We allow embedding Google Adsense code in your tutorial to earn you a revenue. We believe this encourages not only knowledge sharing but also a culture of producing properly written, high quality tutorials. Obviously best tutorials would be viewed by more visitors resulting in higher revenue for the authors. To use Google Adsense code put the below tags anywhere in your tutorials. 'pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' is your adsense publisher id. For example this page contains right aligned Google Square ads by using
